Wiki Podcast
In this podcast we were required to discuss a Web 2.0 technology that we covered in EDU 290. I chose to talk about wiki's in education. I decided to go this route because of all of the technologies we have covered I became most comfortable with, and feel that in the classroom this may turn out to have the greatest benefits. The greatest benefit I find that a wiki makes available is the option for a teacher to involve parents into their wiki. In this podcast I first mention a site that allows educators to create a wiki for free, www.wikispaces.com. I also mention an actual wiki that I find to be an excellent example of a wiki used in the classroom the right way, http://westwood.wikispaces.com/, this wiki is from Westwood High School in Camilla, Georgia.
